Whole30 Lifesavers
I love the Whole30 and have learned a thing or two after going through it multiple times. The first time Nate and I went through it was a struggle! I felt like I was washing dishes 2x a day, at the grocery store 3x a week and in the kitchen cooking and prepping with every free hour I had for all kinds of recipes - some of which were complete duds! All that work for nothing. But my second and third Whole30 experiences were so much easier! I was able to take what I learned from the first go around and save time, money, and sanity. I wanted to put together a list of life savers that pulled me through every Whole30 cycle. These were items that helped with recipes, saved time, added a little ... read more

Influenster VoxBox Review – Fierce
In my last post, I talked all about what Influenster was and how it works! If you missed it, you can catch up here :) For today's post, I'm going to be reviewing each of the products and sharing my thoughts. Some products and brands were totally new to me and some I was familiar with or have used in the past. So let's get into this! SheaMoisture Argan Oil & Almond Milk Smooth & Tame Shampoo & Blow Out Creme Shampoo Claims: gently cleanse, control frizz and hydrate These both came in little sample packs so I was able to get 2 washes out of the shampoo. I agree with the claims and felt like my hair was smoother after washing and styling. I have heard of Shea Moisture ... read more

Review Products For Free With Influenster
I first learned about Influenster on Youtube. Yes, I have an addiction to Youtube and yes, I'm not ashamed of it. I love watching makeup videos and could watch them all day every day. Once day I stumbled upon a video talking about Influenster and it sparked my interest. It must have been the title of the video or something that made me click on it because I wasn't subscribed to this person's channel. Anyway, Influenster is a community of shoppers who share expert tips, product reviews, keep up with the latest product launches and get the opportunity to test products for free based on their social media influence. I decided to sign up and give it a shot. I was really interested in being ... read more
5 Flavorful Whole 30 Recipes
I'm currently in the middle of my third go-round of the Whole 30. My husband and I did our first Whole 30 in March of 2015 and loved it! It was the longest I have ever gone without eating sugar, gluten, dairy, and preservatives. It really sparked an interest to make this a lifestyle for myself and my family. But if you've ever done Whole 30 before, you know that sometimes the meals just aren't hitting the spot. Granted what you are eating is so much better for you than all the stuff you may have given up but just because you are eating healthy doesn't mean it can't taste just a great. After making countless Whole 30 compliant meals, I wanted to share some of my favorites that really pack ... read more
Beginnings
Do not despise these small beginnings...is probably a theme verse for my life. I will never forget the first time I heard it. I was in college attending a weekly meeting for a Christian organization I was apart of on campus. During these weekly meetings, there was usually some kind of guest speaker who would share which took up the majority of our time there. I probably shouldn't even call them "meetings" because that feels too business-y. They were more like get-togethers. Anyway, this particular week Beth Guckenberger was speaking. She combined her life story, testimony and ministry all in one as she shared. I hung onto her every word because she just had that type of personality that ... read more
Hope
This morning I had an amazing breakthrough. I was reading my Jesus Calling devotional like I normally do most mornings and the words just pierced my heart and the Holy Spirit flooded the room (also like they normally do when I set aside time with Him.) I have always struggled with hope and the feeling of letting people down. I hate “getting my hopes up” and being let down when things don't turn out how I had planned. I think this is why I hate doing that to other people. I cringe at the thought of disappointing others. Through an unhealthy cycle of getting my hopes up and being let down, I have conditioned myself to just not get my hopes up when I really want something. For example, we ... read more
Identity
In the last year or so, I have recently started to explore my creative side. My creative side has probably laid dormant the majority of my life. It's my own fault though really. I always pegged myself as a "numbers" person and not a "creative" person - as if you have to be one or the other. Totally untrue. Now that I've realized that, I am starting to explore what my creativity looks like which is a big reason why I started this blog. Anyways, many of the designs I do for fun incorporate scripture, Jesus, and our identity as women. These are all things that I love and being creative with photography, colors, fonts, etc are just fun ways to see these things come to life and hopefully ... read more
