I’m currently in the middle of my third go-round of the Whole 30. My husband and I did our first Whole 30 in March of 2015 and loved it! It was the longest I have ever gone without eating sugar, gluten, dairy, and preservatives. It really sparked an interest to make this a lifestyle for myself and my family.
But if you’ve ever done Whole 30 before, you know that sometimes the meals just aren’t hitting the spot. Granted what you are eating is so much better for you than all the stuff you may have given up but just because you are eating healthy doesn’t mean it can’t taste just a great. After making countless Whole 30 compliant meals, I wanted to share some of my favorites that really pack a ton of flavor! To us, having meals that are full of flavor help give us the motivation to keep cooking and eating clean!
I’m also including some bonus recipes on a few that I’ve found are great pairings and help supplement them to make a more complete meal.
1.Sweet Potato Nachos + Chunky Guac
This is my ALL-TIME favorite Whole 30 recipe! There is so much flavor packed in each bit and this chunky guac recipe takes it to another level. You can use the guac recipe that’s included with the sweet potato nachos but I prefer this chunky guac instead. It’s my go-to guac recipe for anything – I’ve made it so many times I have it memorized and I add jalapeños to mine to pack a little extra heat.

2. Chicken Detox Soup
Chicken soup is one of the best comfort foods especially in the winter time. This soup has so much flavor – the combination of seasonings is amazing! I left out the peas in mine because I’m not a fan but it was still just a good! The one thing I would change would be to add some more chicken broth at the beginning because the soup tends to soak a lot of it up. I ended up adding some broth to my bowl each time I heated up leftovers because I preferred it a little more broth-y. It’s whatever your personal preference it.

3. Grilled Flank Steak w/Chimichurri + Garlic Sweet Potato Mash
This was my first experience with chimichurri sauce and I’m a huge fan now! The sauce has so much flavor and pairs perfectly with the grilled steak. This particular garlic sweet potato mash recipe wasn’t Whole 30 compliant so cut out the butter, milk, and sour cream and replace with coconut cream. It’s still just as creamy and delicious!

4. Slow Cooker Jalapeno Popper Chicken Chili
This is my favorite chili recipe in the fall and winter! Obviously skip out on the goat cheese to be Whole 30 compliant. The fresh avocado is the icing on the cake for me! The freshness is the perfect topper to this hearty soup.

5. Summer Salad With Lemon Dressing
I never used to be a fruit-in-my-salad type of girl until I tried this! I can now say that I’m a believer and a fan for life. The salad is so simple but brings together so many fresh ingredients. The dressing is something I always go back to that’s easy and light. I add grilled chicken breast strips to it. To pack just a little more flavor, I marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes before grilling (the longer you let it marinate, the better). I use Newman’s Own Olive Oil & Vinegar dressing to marinate with (which is Whole 30 compliant) and sprinkle in some Italian seasoning into a ziplock back with the chicken and pop in the fridge to marinate while I’m prepping the other ingredients. This gives the chicken extra flavor and moisture.

Comment below and let me know if you try these recipes or know of any others that pack the flavor cause a girl needs all the flavor she can get on the Whole 30…am I right?!
