NEW DRUGSTORE MAKEUP SEPTEMBER 2020
// Wet n Wild Mega Volume Mascara – $3.49
The wand is a spiral fiber brush and the formula includes vitamin E to enrich your lashes. The formula also claims to be volumizing without flaking or drying. Comes in only one shade – black.
Wet n Wild has needed a killer mascara for years. It’s a missing component within a brand that does so many other things well. Their mascaras have always fallen short and been pretty mediocre so fingers crossed this one is a home run.
// Essence Mosaic Blush – $3.99
Blushes have been one of this brand’s killer product categories and they’ve recently re-packaged them. These mosaic blushes look really pretty and you can’t beat the price.
// Real Techniques Everyday Eye Essentials Kit – $19.99
I usually don’t include brushes in these roundups but every now and then a new brush or collection will catch my eye. And this one did. Real Techniques has had their eye brush essentials kit for years now and it used to include 4 brushes I think. I actually have it and use most of the brushes to this day.
It looks like they have revamped the kit to include a few more brushes and have updated the handles. The kit includes:
- shading brush
- crease brush
- defining crease brush
- definer
- smudge
- medium shadow brush
- lash separator
- fine liner brush
This kit is a steal and would be worth every penny! You get 7 eye brushes for $20. Real Techniques brushes have amazing quality and they have really thought through all the brushes you will need to create a perfect eye look. This is a must-have for beginners and really anyone that loves to do eye makeup.
// e.l.f Day To Night Lipstick Duo – $5.00
Love the idea of this duo and only wish there were more shades! You get two complimentary lipsticks for $5 making them $2.50 each! E.l.f has a great formula so I’m sure these are incredible.
// Makeup Revolution Shimmer Bomb Lip Gloss – $7.00
‼️DUPE ALERT ‼️ These look very similar to the Fenty gloss bombs and pretty much stole the name 😅
Might be worth checking out if you don’t want to pay $19 for a lip gloss. Below are the shade match dupes with Makeup Revolution shades to the left and Fenty shades to the right.
- Daydream // Fu$$y
- Distortion // Hot Chocolit
- Light Beam // Diamond Milk
- Glimmer // Fenty Glow
There is a sheer golden shade in Makeup Revolution’s line that doesn’t match up to a Fenty shade. Fenty also has a clear gloss and a sheer pink that don’t have Makeup Revolution dupes. The Makeup Revolution formula also claims to be slightly plumping with a soft tingle sensation upon application.
// Makeup Revolution Infinite Loose Setting Powder – $10.00
Love the packaging with the powder sifter and looks very similar to the Hourglass Veil setting powder sifter. The formula includes niacinamide which will help reduce the appearance of pores. The powder is ultra finely milled and supposedly universal for all skin types and tones.
// Makeup Revolution Conceal + Define Infinite Universal Pressed Powder – $10.00
If loose powder isn’t your thing, Makeup Revolution also has a universal pressed powder. This might be more suitable for normal/dry skin types that don’t want an ultra powdery or matte look.
The formula looks to be the same as the loose powder, just in a different format. This would be great for on-to-go touchups and traveling if you want to avoid the mess of a loose powder.
I’m really intrigued by the idea of a universal powder and am always on the hunt for a good translucent powder that won’t look cakey or dry on my skin. If you are like me, this could be a great one to try out.
// Makeup Revolution Conceal + Define Infinite Mattifying Longwear Makeup Fixing Spray – $10.00
*could the name be any longer?!*
Claims to have a 16 hour wear. That is all 🤷🏼♀️
// MakeUp Eraser Falling For You 7 Day Set – $25.00
The MakeUp Eraser has been super popular on Amazon and now it’s being sold as a 7 day set on Ulta (however, it’s currently sold out as I’m making this post but hoping it’s restocked soon.) Love the idea of a more environmentally friendly way to take your makeup off.
All you need is water and the eraser supposedly removes even the toughest makeup including waterproof mascara. The cloths are double-sided to both erase makeup and exfoliate the skin. They are machine washable (yaaasss!) and reusable up to 3-5 years 😱
I’ve signed up to be notified when they are back in stock because I’m definitely purchasing 💜
And that ends the best of the best new drugstore makeup September 2020 releases. What are you most excited about? Are you still wearing makeup on a regular basis? Let me know what type of content you would like to see these next few months and I will make sure to include it in my upcoming posts. I love ideas from subscribers 😘
