Wow – I was not expecting the crazy amount of new drugstore makeup July 2020 releases! June was a pretty slow month with new drugstore makeup products hitting the shelves so I was kind of expecting July to be the same especially considering the year we have been having 😫 But boy was I wrong! Affordable brands released tons of new stuff this month and I’m so excited to dive into what’s new 🙂

When brands like Milani, Essence and Catrice release new products, I know I’m going to stumble upon some new favorites! There are some affordable brands that are constantly releasing new products like Colourpop and Makeup Revolution.
And don’t get me wrong, they have some great products! But I get kind of used to (and maybe a little bored sometimes) of their new releases all the time. I tend to get more excited for new products from brands that release things less often.
Among some of the new drugstore makeup July 2020 products being released, there are several new eyeshadow palettes. I’m super curious about the quality of the Essence palettes. I’ve never tried an Essence eyeshadow palette. Knowing they are such an affordable brand, I would love to see how their palettes compare.
And ditto with Catrice. When I think about Catrice, I think about face products and eyeshadows don’t really jump out at me.

However, I’m going to skip over all the details this month and just list the new drugstore makeup July 2020 products. And that’s because we welcomed a new member of the family at the end of May – baby boy #2 – so I am currently in the middle of juggling a newborn and a toddler 😅 and need to cut some corners where I can.

HARRY POTTER X ULTA BEAUTY COLLECTION
So midway through July I just happened to stumble upon this collection on Ulta’s website….whaaaat?!! Um why wasn’t this a bigger deal?! This collection is so incredibly creative and cute. I truly love everything about it.
Only thing that sucks is about half of the items are already sold out on Ulta’s website. From what I’ve read, the collection dropped on the website around the first week of July and will be available in stores July 26.

Whew…that was a lot! What are you most excited about?! Personally, I’m eyeing the eyeshadow palettes like I mentioned above, the Catrice BB cream, the Milani makeup balm and I’m SUPER interested in the Makeup Revolution soap brow! I’ve never seen anything like that and think it’s super innovative.
As far as the Harry Potter collection, I would love to try everything! I’m a huge HP fan and I think this collection was so well done. I’ll be interested to see the quality of the items so I may plan to go in store on the 26th and see what I can get!
