Drugstore makeup is ending the year with a bang 💥 If you don’t already follow along, I do monthly roundups of new drugstore makeup. And December is about to be epic with all the new makeup launching. As if I wasn’t already excited with Christmas coming, these new releases take it to a whole nutha level. Keep reading for my new drugstore makeup December 2020 roundup!
If you missed the last few months of new makeup releases and want to catch up on what’s new and noteworthy, check out the last few months below:
Giiiiiirl these collabs caught me off guard. I did NOT know about these…and then to have them all drop in the same month. I need a minute to catch my breath. I don’t normally include collabs in these monthly posts because 1) there is no way I could keep up with the sheer volume that’s released on a regular basis and half the time I don’t know who the person is that’s collabing with a brand and 2) the products are usually limited edition meaning they won’t be around for very long and I would rather focus on products that will be around and that lots of people can get their hands on to try.
But I had to make some exceptions for these new collabs because it’s not everyday that you see a LISA FRANK collab or a FRIENDS collab 😱 😱 😱
Friends is one of my all time favorite shows and I love that Makeup Revolution collabed with the show. Makeup Revolution does eyeshadow palettes so well and they just went ham by coming out with 4 palettes! The shade names are everything we need and more in 2020 – all the happy feels. Four palettes might seem like a lot but they are all uniquely different. Plus how do you sum up an epic show like Friends in just one palette. If any collab can justify 4 palettes, it’s a Friends one!
I die over Morphe and Lisa Frank collabing!! I think Morphe is a great fit for that collab because they do bright color and brushes so well. They came out with one eyeshadow palette but you can pick from 3 different iconic Lisa Frank graphics for the front. I’m a baby tiger Lisa Frank fan all.the.way! Which one are you?!
And the brushes and sponges…are everything. Love this partnership so much and only wish they would have done a bigger collection. I miss the good ole days of Lisa Frank and wish I would have kept my Lisa Frank folders and school supplies from back in the day.
Last but not least with collabs is another round of Harry Potter X Ulta!!!! If you missed the first round of Harry Potter X Ulta, I did a post all about that launch back in July. There may still be some products available from that launch because I’ve seen them floating around.
But this second launch includes mini collections for each house sold as a set. The packaging on those eyeliner quills is unreal. Each house collection is $28 which includes a 6 pan mini eyeshadow palette, quill eyeliner, highlighter balls and chubby lip balm. I think that’s a great price for what you get.
These bundles are much different than the first round of products they launched and I think it’s great they are sold as a set rather than individual products that way you can get several things at once and at a great value.
Excluding the collabs, there are still lots of other new drugstore makeup December 2020 releases so I will cover those as well like usual. Let’s get into all the product specifics below.
