As I mentioned in those posts, I’m currently pregnant with baby #2 and in my third trimester. And boy has it been a roller coaster of ups and downs.
I’m not going to sugarcoat the third trimester – it can be so challenging especially physically. And that’s why I’ve put these trimester Amazon pregnancy essentials posts together. THIRD TRIMESTER AMAZON PREGNANCY ESSENTIALS
// Essential Oil Diffuser
An oil diffuser can be used so many different ways. I love using ours at night to diffuse oils that will help with sleep, during the winter months or when allergies are flaring up or in my toddler’s room for naps and nightime. You can use it during labor and delivery to help set the mood and environment according to your birth plan. You can use it in baby’s nursery. Essential oils can be especially useful during pregnancy when you are limited with what medicines and supplements you can take. If you are new to essential oils, I’ve linked some great essential oil kits below to get you started!
// Mommee Coffee
Caffeine is ok in limited quantities during pregnancy but if you are like me, it is a lifeline with a toddler! I was really diligent about cutting out pretty much all coffee during my first pregnancy but there is absolutely no way I could do that this time around. Mama needs some energy to keep up with a 2 year old 😬🙃
This coffee is perfect for any mamas who still want some caffeine but are trying to reduce or limit the amount. It’s easy to order a 1/2 caf drink at a coffee shop but it’s hard to make one at home. PLUS this brand is low-acid….halleluiah! I’ve definitely had some acid reflux this time around which isn’t pleasant so all about the low acid 🙌🏻 It comes in grounds so you can use it to make a small pot or grab a refillable/reusable K cup to make some in your Keurig. Mommee Coffee also carries full caf, 1/4 caf and decaf grounds!
// On Becoming Babywise
I read this book during my first pregnancy based on the recommendation from a friend and I’m SO. GLAD. I. DID! I highly recommend reading it especially if you are a first-time mom. It’s a great resource for learning how to care for a baby. We took a childbirth class but didn’t really do any other baby classes whether at the hospital or online. But I did read this book and I feel like it really helped prep me for those first few months of baby’s life at home, what to expect, and how to get into a good rhythm and schedule (eventually) to care for their needs.
I truly think this helped get my son to sleep through the night so quickly…at 9 weeks old! We implemented the schedule that Babywise lays out and he slept his first 7 hour stretch at the 9 week mark 😱 Look I’m not guaranteeing this book performs miracles but I do think it has some great tips and information for parents so definitely read this BEFORE baby comes if you can.
// Earth Mama Third Trimester Tea
I’m not a big tea lover but wanted to take advantage of the benefits herbal teas can have for pregnant mamas. Earth Mama is an amazing brand and they have this tea specifically for third trimester mamas! It’s caffeine free and helps support and nurture your body as you prep for labor in the near future. Tea is great to have on hand if you need a hot drink and are trying to limit coffee intake or just don’t prefer coffee.
// Exercise Ball
Similar to the oil diffuser, an exercise ball is so multi-purpose because you can use it throughout so many stages of pregnancy and postpartum. Use it to relieve physical discomfort while pregnant, for pain management during the different stages of labor, and as a way to soothe and bounce baby during those sleepless newborn days PLUS you can use it for exercising post-baby. Exercise balls also make for great alternatives to desk chairs. So many ways to use it for such an affordable price – highly recommend!
// Electric Heating Pad
Great for relieving discomfort and soothing any body pains. I just used mine the other day on the top of my belly because baby was in a really weird position and it was extremly uncomfortable. It helped so much! I highly recommend a heating pad with an auto-off feature in case you forget to turn it off when you are done (pregnancy brain 😜)
// Maternity Belt
Those final few months with a huge belly takes a toll on your body so anything you can do to get more comfortable is key. Maternity belts support your baby bump and relieve strain on your lower body (yes please!) This one I’ve linked has amazing reviews and will be comfortable to wear daily under your clothes without being noticeable.
// Fetal Doppler
I realized after including this that you need an Amazon business account or healthcare license to purchase. But I will keep it in the post in case you do have one of those and want to buy it. I don’t have a fetal doppler but I know other mamas who do and the peace of mind it gives them! If you have the ability to get one and think it will help ease your mind to check on baby at home very now and then, then by all means get one my friend! Pregnancy is stressful enough so knowing that baby is thriving between appointments can bring so much peace.
And that my friends, is my third trimester Amazon pregnancy essentials roundup and final selection of products to get you to the finish line! The third trimester can be challenging but it’s also such a special time for feeling lots of baby movement, getting to see what your body is capable of and finally getting to meet your precious baby! All the discomfort and ups and downs are so worth it once you meet your little babe.
