And just like that we’re starting the second half of the year. I don’t know whether to be relieved, worried, or anxious considering how the first half of the year went. But one thing I am certain of is I’ve really enjoyed putting together these monthly new drugstore makeup posts!
They have helped me stay on top of what’s new when it comes to all things affordable makeup. And there really is so much to keep up with which usually means these monthly posts are busting at the seams with new releases. And the new drugstore makeup August 2020 roundup is no different.
As always, if you missed the last few months of new makeup releases and want to catch up on what’s new and noteworthy, check out the last few months below:
New Drugstore Makeup July 2020 (including limited edition Harry Potter x Ulta Beauty collection)
New Drugstore Makeup June 2020
New Drugstore Makeup May 2020
Welp enough with the chit chat, let’s jump into all the new drugstore makeup August 2020 products.
NEW DRUGSTORE MAKEUP AUGUST 2020
Maybe it’s because I’m in my 30s….maybe it’s because the year we’ve been having has aged us all by 20 years. But I’m here for this new L’Oreal line! It’s specifically designed for mature skin and when brands say “mature skin” they really mean aging skin well on it’s way to wrinkles. Let’s be honest…gonna happen to all of us.
But I’ll be wearing makeup wrinkles and all so might as well jump on the “mature skin” bandwagon.
// L’Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation – $15.99
A hydrating formula that will even out skin tone without settling into fine lines. The formula has a natural radiant finish and includes SPF 50. Sounds like the It Cosmetics CC Cream to me 🤔 Honestly, for someone who probably qualifies as having mature skin and falls into this target market, what more could you want in a foundation?!
// L’Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Concealer – $12.99
Formulated with a hydrating serum similar to the foundation to illuminate and hydrate mature skin
// L’Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Satin Blush – $12.99
Formulated with a creamy finish to prevent caking and drying on your skin
// L’Oreal Age Perfect Brow Defining Pencil – $9.99
Not really sure how a brow pencil fits into the mature skin line but maybe some people have aging brows ha? I’ve never used a brow pencil that you have to sharpen so that’s an interesting packaging choice.
// L’Oreal Age Perfect Luminous Hydrating Lipstick – $10.99
Formulated for all day hydration and color that won’t feather into fine lines. The product description also says “formulated with a 46% of caring ingredients”…is that a typo because I have no idea what that means lol. Anyways, a creamy lipstick that will be hydrating without feathering is a win-win for me!
All the Age Perfect products have amazing reviews so far so they all look promising. And I’m not sure how “new” they really are. They are somewhat new to me but looks like they could have been out for a while considering the number of reviews they already have 🤷🏼♀️
// Ulta Beauty Blushing Blooms Eyeshadow Palette – $20.00
Blush colored eyeshadow palettes are everywhere and I’m so here for it because I LOVE a good blush eyeshadow. And TBH I’ve been on the hunt for years for the perfect blush/pink colored eyeshadow palette. This one looks beautiful and if you are in the market like I am, check out these other blush palettes below:
- Colourpop Blush Crush Palette – $14.00
- Morphe 9V Vintage Rose Artistry Palette – $12.00
- I Heart Revolution Heartbreakers Sweetheart Palette – $7.00
// Ulta Beauty Here For The Cake Eyeshadow Palette – $20.00
Palette in celebration of Ulta’s 30th Birthday (?! how in the world has Ulta been around for 30 years…what??)
// Covergirl Clean Fresh Pressed Powder – $11.99
More products to further extend their Clean Fresh line. But this powder only comes in 3 shades…yikes! Formula is talc free which is a plus along with other ingredients that will absorb oil and leave a natural finish while smoothing skin and minimizing pores.
// Covergirl Clean Fresh Mascara – $10.99
Provides volume, length and definition with a vegan formula
And that completes my new drugstore makeup August 2020 recap. I will definitely be trying out the L’Oreal Age Perfect foundation and one of those insanely affordable blush eyeshadow palettes. I just have to decide which one.
What kind of makeup are you buying lately? What has been interesting and exciting to you? Would love to know your input so leave me a comment 💜
