Affordable makeup just keeps coming and March brings some exciting new releases! Below I have recapped a roundup of new drugstore makeup March 2020 edition. I want to do these roundups once a month to keep up with the affordable makeup coming out and make it easy for makeup junkies to find the latest and greatest budget-friendly product launches.
If you missed last month’s post, you can check out February’s new arrivals here.
NEW DRUGSTORE MAKEUP MARCH 2020
// I Heart Revolution Heartbreakers Mini Palettes – $7
Immediately thought of the Colourpop mini monochromatic palettes they have been launching over the last year or so when I saw these heartbreaker palettes. They definitely look super similar. The heartbreak ones follow a monochromatic color story and include 9 shades just like the Colourpop ones. However, they are a little more affordable at $7 vs the Colourpop ones at $12 each. I actually like the color selections in these palettes better because they offer slightly more versatility and shade variation than the Colourpop ones.
// Morphe Mattifying Continuous Setting Mist – $16
All my oily gals NEED to check this out for me and report back! Morphe’s original continuous setting mist is one of the best affordable settings sprays IMO. I hope this one holds up *fingers crossed*
// Morphe Luminous Setting Spray – $16
Aaaaand my dry skin is rejoicing over this Morphe luminious setting spray! A big and might I say bold difference to note with this product is that it is NOT in an aerosol can but looks like a regular sprayer bottle unlike the original and mattifying continuous setting mists that are aerosol. Not sure how I feel about that betrayal since the mist won’t be as fine but I’m assuming the formula won’t let as well to that kind of application?
// Morphe Liquid Eye Makeup Remover – $12
Doesn’t say if it removes waterproof makeup but it is opthamologist tested and safe for contact wearers.
// Makeup Revolution Fast Brow Pomade – $7
Claims to give you the look of microbladed brows in a clicky pen applicator with a brush tip. Sounds like pomade type formula in a pen instead of a pot. The brush tip will supposedly create the illusion of hair-like strokes as you comb through your brows.
// Makeup Revolution Bushy Brow Pen – $7
This looks very similar to the Fast Brow Pomade pen except it’s a pen tip instead of a brush tip. It looks like an angeled definer tip and not a pencil tip.
// Makeup Revolution Brow Fixer Clear Brow Gel – $7
Definitely interested in trying this since I haven’t really found a good and affordable brow gel that I love.
// Makeup Revolution Brow Gel – $7
Tinted brow gels that will deposit color while setting your brows.
// Real Techniques Miracle Mixing Sponge – $5.99
Super interesting concept that got my attention – this sponge is ideal if you are concocting a custom mixture of liquid products. For example, I have currently been mixing a moisturizer in with my foundation. I will do 3 parts moisturizer to 1 part (pump) foundation to 1) tone down the shade because it’s too dark for me and 2) give extra hydration to a satin finish foundation. I usually just mix it on the back of my hand. But if I had this sponge, I could place the products on the silicone side of the sponge and they will mix together without absorbing into the sponge. Then you could use the sponge side to blend everything in.
// Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Balm – $8.99
A quick two-in-one for cleaning your makeup brushes the easy way! This product includes a cleansing balm and cleansing pad for washing and scrubbing your brush completely clean. I love this idea and would totally try this out because I hate cleaning my brushes. A convenient product like this would help me clean them more often.
And those, my friends, are the latest new arrivals for a new drugstore makeup March 2020 roundup. What are you most excited about? I’m pretty excited about most of these things actually. The eyeshadow palettes, luminous setting spray, RT sponge and brow gels are all catching my attention. That green monochromatic palette is puuurrrfect for St. Patty’s day coming up.
Check back in a few weeks for another drugstore makeup roundup 🙂
