Who else is a sucker for the travel size displays at Ulta?! I don’t know why they always get me. I just love things in tiny packages and little miniatures. And on the practical side, sometimes it’s great to have a smaller version of your fave product for travel! It’s also a great way to try new products without having to commit to a full size if you aren’t sure you will like it.
Side note – brands need to start doing this with foundations! Wouldn’t that be awesome if they came in tiny packages to try a few times instead of realizing the shade is wrong or you hate the formula and are left with a full bottle. If that’s ever a thing…you heard it here first 😉 I think you can still return used products but still…sometimes I feel weird doing that.
Anyways, I’m an affordable makeup girl to the core but I do try high end makeup from time to time. There are definitely some gaps in my makeup routine that I feel like I haven’t found an affordable holy grail product for yet and if I think there is a high end option that could win me over, I will test it out. I thought why not build a full face of travel size high end makeup?!
FYI some of the best categories to shop for travel size options are primers, eyeshadow palettes, mascaras and setting sprays. These categories all have a ton of options so if you are wanting to try something, go with the travel size first to see if you like it!
It Cosmetics CC Cream
Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Tarte Tarteist Double Take Eyeliner
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
If you do the math, you could have a full face of travel size high end makeup for $222. That’s a steal!! And um affordable brands please start carrying travel size products tysm! We want little minis of your stuff too 🙂
