Is spring ever going to get here?? It feels like we’ve been waiting on spring to come for weeks now (at least those of us in the midwest). I’m ready for sandal-wearing, windows down, porch-sitting, bright lipstick-wearing spring weather! Since the weather hasn’t been on my side, I took to makeup to get me in the mood. What originally inspired me to do this post was Kathleen Lights’ Youtube video talking about her spring nail polish collection which I’ve included in this roundup. The colors in this collection gave me all the springtime feels so I thought it would be fun to find pastel makeup inspired by these colors. How can you not get excited talking about affordable pastel makeup for spring?
I love this time of year because it means my makeup looks can start to transition from dark lips and pale skin to bright fun lip colors and bronzy glowy skin. After months of winter makeup looks, I’m more than happy to change things up and start playing with new products and colors. Pastel colors aren’t necessarily the first thing I think of when talking about spring makeup. But they can be fun pops of color to include in simple and subtle ways.
SHOP THE POST
Makeup Revolution Pro HD Amplified 35 Palette Exhilarate – $20
This palette is so fun and will give you dozens of ways to come up with different eye makeup looks! I love the mix of bright pastel and neutral colors which will make the bold and bright colors much more wearable. Sometimes palettes can have so many bold colors and not enough neutrals that it deters you from using the palette at all because you can’t come up with wearable looks. These larger HD palettes from Makeup Revolution have amazing quality and the price is unbeatable!
Makeup Revolution Camouflage Corrector Palette – $15
Color correctors will obviously be covered up by your base makeup so you won’t see the pastel color payoff but I thought this palette was still fun to include. It gives you all the colored concealers to correct as well as skin-colored concealers to cover up.
Almay Make Them Jelly Hi-Lite – $14.99 each
Pretty sure these are a knock off of the Farsali Jelly Beam Illuminators. I was actually surprised to see a knock off like this from Almay because I normally don’t think of that brand with products like this. But the product and packaging look so fun! These are like liquid highlights that will give you iridescent glow by themselves or you can mix them into other products like your primer or foundation.
NYX Faux Whites Eyeliners – $7.99 each
These eyeliners are the ultimate in pastel colors! Not only would they be fun and bold as regular eyeliner but you could also add them to your inner waterline for a fun pop of color in a more subtle way. If these don’t get you excited for spring, I don’t know what will.
Catrice Light Correcting Serum Primer – $10.99
This reminds me of the Cover FX illuminating drops or the Makeup Revolution illuminating drops. All of these products work the same in that they can be used a variety of different ways. You can use them as liquid highlights, mixed in with primer or foundation, body highlighter or mixed in with body lotions, etc. No matter how you use it, it will give your skin an all-over glow!
BH Cosmetics Blacklight Highlight – 6 Color Palette – $17.00
If you are feeling a little more adventurous with your highlight, this is the palette for you! Spring and summer are great times to experiment with fun looks like a purple or blue highlight. You get 6 different colors for only $17 which makes experimenting that much better because you won’t break the bank if you only wear these highlights every once and a while.
J. Cat Beauty Holographic 3D Eye Toppers – $6.99 each
After Stila dropped their best-selling eye toppers, all kinds of brands are following suit. J. Cat just launched these holographic eye toppers for only a fraction of the cost! The shades are beautiful and could easily be worked into so many eye makeup looks.
Sleek Makeup Distorted Dreams Highlighting Palette – $14.99
Another fun highlighting palette but with a mixture of cream and powder formulas as well as some different shades as compared to the BH palette. You can use these on your face, lips or eyes.
KL Polish Ethereal Garden Box Set (limited edition) – $45.00
This is the nail polish set I referred to at the beginning of my post. It’s limited edition so definitely buy it now if you are eyeing it. The colors are so feminine and beautiful. If you don’t want the whole set, you can buy individual colors as well. I believe just the set is limited edition so hopefully the individual colors will available for a longer period of time.
Hope you enjoyed this post of fun affordable pastel makeup for spring. Maybe it will inspire you to pick up a few new products to incorporate into your upcoming spring makeup looks 🙂
