So if you haven’t guessed it already, I love doing product guides and round-ups on my blog! I’m a drugstore/affordable product junkie, and always trying new things. There are so many great gems at the drugstore or online that it’s hard to talk about EVERYTHING. So as I was brainstorming some ideas the other day, I wanted to do a Top Ten series where I narrow in on one product category and do a list of the best 10 products in that category on the market right now. Because as we all know, just because one product works for somebody doesn’t mean it works for everybody. But with a top ten grouping of products, you are bound to find something you like and that works for you!
Also, I created an ultimate drugstore makeup kit post a while back that includes literally anything you would need to create a makeup kit at the drugstore from scratch including my fave pick from each product category. Check that post out here if you haven’t already. However, sometimes it’s hard to choose just one foundation or one lipstick so these top ten posts will let me include some other faves and honorable mentions that might not have made the cut but are still just as fantastic.
I plan on doing additional posts for many different face, eye and lip products. Today, I’m starting with concealers! I won’t be going in any particular order but I’ve just had concealer on the mind lately. I’ve been patiently waiting for Ulta to restock the Makeup Revolution concealer in my shade, and I finally got an email today that they were restocked! So you better believe I rushed to the Ulta app and placed an order. I had a running list of things I wanted to purchase but was just waiting on the concealer to restock so I could pull the trigger. So maybe that’s why I started with concealer first?!
I am calling this series my top ten affordable series vs top ten drugstore series because I may throw in a product here or there that you can’t actually find at a drugstore but still falls within the drugstore price range. Ok enough fluff, let’s jump into my top ten affordable concealers!
These are in no particular order. Each one is unique and one of my favorites for a reason.
// Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal & Contour
Price: $7
Coverage: Full
I love this concealer and think it’s one of the best because it has amazing coverage at an extremely affordable price. No need to spend over 3x the amount for Tarte Shape Tape when you can get an almost identical product and look with this concealer! They also offer a great shade range.
// Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer
Price: $9.99
Coverage: Full
Flower Beauty is making a big name for themselves. If you aren’t familiar with this brand, they used to be carried exclusively at Walmart but recently ended their stint there and moved to Ulta (so exciting!) They also launched many new products including this Light Illusion Concealer. This is a fairly new discovery for me, but I was so shocked at how great this was. The coverage is really full. The formula packs some pretty cool ingredients. The only downfall with this product is the shade range isn’t great.
// L.A Girl HD Pro Concealer
Price: $4.99
Coverage: Full
These are OG concealers that deserve more attention! A few years ago when concealers were half as good as what they are now and we had half as many options to choose from, L.A Girl was over here with this super affordable option that included tons of shades. The only problem was that until recently, they were hard to access except online I believe. Now L.A girl is carried at CVS and Ulta’s website to name a few.
The formula has great coverage and the packaging makes it easy to apply. These are great for contouring, and they also carry a wide range of color correcting concealers as well. I have the green one that I use regularly in the summer to cover any redness (my nose easily gets burnt) or on blemishes all year!
// Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer
Price: $9.99
Coverage: Medium
Speaking of OGs, this is another one that’s been around for a long time. Until recently, I felt like this was the only good concealer at the drugstore. It has stood the test of time and now has a (much needed) expanded shade range! Personally, I really like the sponge applicator and twist up tube. The coverage isn’t as full as some of the others but definitely a medium and buildable formula. This is a perfect option for everyday makeup or lighter makeup days when you don’t want/need full coverage.
// Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer
Price: $5.99
Coverage: Medium
Catrice is a relatively new brand for me, but the first time I heard about them is when someone was talking about the concealer and how great it was. I used to only be able to find it on Amazon, but now Ulta has started to carry their products online! *thank you Ulta for your large brand portfolio* This is another high quality yet extremely affordable concealer. The only con is that they only carry 3….yes 3…shades š I don’t know how they’re getting away with that but fingers crossed they jump on board and expand very soon. If you are one of the very few that can find your shade, it’s definitely worth picking up.
// Milani Retouch and Erase Light-Lifting Concealer
Price: $8.99
Coverage: Full
Milani claims this is a full coverage formula but I would suggest it’s medium/buildable. Options like the Makeup Revolution or Flower Beauty are definitely more full coverage if that’s what you are looking for. This concealer looks similar to the Maybelline Age Rewind with the sponge top but has a squeeze tube instead. The product applies beautifully, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. Concealers are hard to get right so many times I go into testing a new one with low expectations. Lastly, I feel like a broken record, but the shade range sucks! There’s only 3 but Milani has expanded their shades in other face products recently so many this concealer will be next?!
// Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
Price: $6.99
Coverage: Medium
This product actually claims not to be full coverage but will “let the real you come through” with “natural coverage that leaves skin the way it is meant to be: fresh, breathing, natural.” I actually love that they aren’t claiming that their product is full coverage when it’s clearly not (as opposed to many other products that do.) The formula is great and the shade range is pretty decent. If you love the Fit Me foundation, I bet you will love this concealer too!
Fun Fact: This concealer is a dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.

// NYX HD Concealer
Price: $4.99
Coverage: Medium to High
I used to use this concealer all the time and have recently rediscovered it! This has a great formula, and I agree that the coverage is medium but buildable to achieve a high coverage look. They have a great shade selection as well as color correcting options just like the L.A. Girl concealer. This falls into that category of a great everyday option. If you prefer a wand applicator over a sponge tip, go with this one!
// Colourpop No Filter Concealer
Price: $6.00
Coverage: Full
Out of the top ten, this product definitely has the largest shade range to choose from! I love the way their website helps you determine what shade you need by organizing the products based on skin tone and undertone. This is probably the most affordable option with the best coverage so if you really need to cover a lot, this will be the best bang for your buck.
// Ulta Full Coverage Liquid Concealer
Price: $9.00
Coverage: Full (duh it’s in the name š
This is one of those hidden gems that you don’t expect will be that great and then BAM!…it’s awesome! The coverage is truly full and leaves you with a great finish. The formula has some great skin-benefiting ingredients and properties and also claims to be waterproof. I think this is one of the best products within the Ulta brand and one that doesn’t get enough attention. Ulta usually has a deal where you can buy 2 Ulta brand products and get one free. So snag this and something else for a third product for free!
And that’s my round up…pheww! That was a lot. What’s your all-time favorite affordable concealer? Did I include it in my top ten? Let me know in the comments because if it’s new to me, I would love to try it.
