Spring is beginning to be one of my favorite times of the year! Now I’m not cheating on fall but as much as I hate winter and cold weather, I sing praises to Jesus when it starts warming up! And the icing on the cake is that makeup brands launch new product after new product! But how do you pick which products to try? I’ve picked 6 new affordable beauty products that are must-tries for spring.
Now that the majority of the spring makeup launches have come out at the drugstore, I have decided to round up some of my favorite products that are worth trying! With all the brands and options for affordable makeup, it’s hard to know what to try and spend your money on. But I think these 6 products are must-tries for spring and summer!
1// Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation – YOU GUYS…..this foundation is around $5.99 at the drugstore and it seriously could compete with any high-end foundation out there! Wet n wild continues to amaze me with the quality of products they come out with at such a low price point. It’s medium-to-full coverage and buildable. It’s a natural satin finish – not really dewy or matte and very lightweight. It has great staying power. I think it’s great for all skin types but could be best suited for normal/oily skin.
2 // LA Girl Just Blushing Powder – these blushes are so gorgeous! The shade range is flattering for a wide range of makeup looks and the formula is blendable with good pigmentation. I want a blush to be pigmented but not too crazy. Blush is usually a subtle wash of color to achieve a natural flush. I prefer to build the color up and these blushes do just that!
3 // ColourPop Pressed Powder Eyeshadows – ColourPop recently released these pressed powder eyeshadows. They have had huge success with their super shock shadows that come in the little white jars (which are totally amazing too!) These pressed powder shadows come in matte and shimmer finishes but offer a larger selection of mattes that their super shock shadows did not. They are pigmented, blendable, and only $5 each! You just can’t go wrong.
4 // L’Oreal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender – the drugstore has a ton of beauty sponges on the market now and some of them are just fabulous! This one in particular is a great dupe for the beauty blender. It gets really big when you get it wet and becomes really bouncy to give your foundation and cream products an airbrush look. Save your money on high-end options and invest in this bad boy. You’ll thank me later 🙂
5 // Milani Make It Last Setting Spray – I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…this stuff is bomb! Again, it puts high-end products to shame. The mist is really fine and it really locks in your look and melds everything together. It’s that perfect finishing touch to the makeup you worked so hard on! If you are new to setting spray, this would be a great product to help you get your feet wet (see what I did there… 🙂
6 // Beauty 360 Facial Sheet Masks – Beauty 360 is a fairly new private brand sold at CVS (I think). I believe there are 8 different ones depending on your skin type and needs:
- Detoxifying Antioxidant
- Moisturizing Anti-Wrinkle Firming
- Moisturizing Anti-Wrinkle Smoothing
- Hydrating Purifying
- Hydrating Deep Moisture
- Brightening Radiance
- Moisturizing Anti-Wrinkle Plumping
- Honorable Mention – Moisturizing Anti-Wrinkle eye masks
I’ve tried #1, #2, #5, and #6 and have liked all of them! I think they have all been true to their claims. A good facial mask can be a bit tricky to find and typically I resort to Ulta/Sephora for mine. It’s great that CVS is offering so many different varieties for all different types of skin needs and the price point is just right!
That completes my spring picks! I think I’m going to do this each season as affordable brands come out with new products. I think it’s helpful to filter through all the fluff and trends and get down to what products are really worth trying and investing in. What have been your favorite new products that have come out at the drugstore (or Ulta or online) this spring?! Leave me a comment down below and I will check them out!

I have been using the wet n’ wild photo focus foundation and I really like it. Think I need to buy a shade darker though for summer. I’m going to look for the Milani setting spray next time I’m out.
Hey girl 🙂 what shade do you use? And let me know how you like the setting spray – I’m obsessed! I haven’t had much luck finding it in store but they have it in the Milani website.
Love your facial sheet mask 💕💕💕
