Affordable Bold Summer Lips

It’s officially summer which means it’s that time of year for one of my favorite things – bold summer lip colors! I love a bright and bold lip in the summertime with fresh faced bronzy makeup. One of my go-to looks is natural looking skin, just mascara on the eyes and a bright lip. It’s a great look where I can experiment with all kinds of fun colors and really get some use out of my lip color collection 🙂 I thought it would be the perfect time to round up some of my favorite colors and formulas into an affordable bold summer lips post!

I love this collection of 9 lip colors because it has a great mix of finishes (creamy, matte, gloss and shimmer) and colors (orange, coral, pink, red and purple). Places like Ulta, Target and any drugstore have such a wide variety of lip products to choose from. You can find a great lip color at an affordable price, and you know I’m allllll about budget-friendly makeup. These products in particular are some of my absolute favorite formulas. Any on of these lips would rival a pricey high-end alternative.

My personal favorite bold colors to wear in the summer are pinks and corals. NYX also makes some fun and bright colors in their soft matte lip cream formula that I really enjoy.

I live in the midwest where the humidity is suffocating on a daily basis between the hours of 10am and 8pm. I’m currently living this life….ugh! So I really don’t like wearing heavy makeup anyway. It all just melts off so the less products on my face, the better. This is why I love going more natural on the face and eyes and playing up the lips.
